Our sweet Snowball passed away in our arms last Thursday after a brave six-month battle against bone cancer. We spent the entire day at Sunday Park at her favorite lake - and that is where our vet joined us at the end of the day. In the end, all she wanted was us and our presence - her poor broken body had started shutting down and she could not eat or drink anymore, and yet as you can see in this picture (taken less than 30 minutes before she left us), she was more content than maybe ever before in her life.
I miss you, pretty girl.
We’re in DC for Labor Day and took our sweet Snowball (who is battling bone cancer) with us - and she had a blast.
We took our 12 year-old dog Snowball, who was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer three months ago and given two weeks to live, to DC this weekend and pretty girl had arguably the best weekend of her life :)! She enjoyed every moment and I will post pictures over the next few days. Snowball, we love you, and please stay with us a lot longer! We stayed at a Kimpton Hotel (where they welcome dogs with open arms) and Snowball made herself at home on the comfy chaise.
Snowball, our oldest dog, was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer and given two weeks to live - eight weeks ago. So far she is still doing well - we are trying to spend as much quality time with her as possible and she *loves* going on adventures (=anytime we take her out in the van). Snowball, we hope you can stay with us much, much longer - we love you, pretty girl.
